Our Story
Cutting Edge Stone Design was established in 2003, in the small community of Walkerton, Ontario. As an independent contractor, it started with a small shop and some local residential jobs, including kitchens, bathrooms, outdoor BBQ areas, and a couple of customized projects (e.g., carved sinks, dog bowls, etc.). Excellence is what has driven me from the beginning, and it caught the eye of some big contractors who invited me to partner with them on some large multi-residential jobs in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario in 2012. Since then, I've spent the last 10+ years in commercial fabrication in the tri-city area, from high-end custom homes, to large scale multi-residential, and custom amenity creations (e.g., stairs, desks, walls, etc.). At Cutting Edge Stone Design, I believe that offering the best work, service & repairs, even for the most basic of requests, can make a big difference in the happiness of our customers. We strive to be the best repair service in the tri-city area. Let our work speak for itself.
The Team (Okay, it's just me)
Who I Am!
My passion for stone work started in my teens, where I apprenticed at a local shop in Bruce County and gained valuable skills that I've honed over 25 years. I knew instantly that quality, detailed work was what I want to be known for. That experience grew me to opening my own granite fabrication shop in my 20's, and eventually moving to the tri-city area where I currently reside today. While I take my work seriously, I enjoy life and bringing satisfaction to my customers.

Professional Life: As a seasoned craftsman, Mike has spent the last 25 years honing his craft in stone work. He's known for his exceptional hand work, attention to detail, and an unwavering commitment to delivering high-quality work. Whether it's putting stone in a residential home, crafting custom items, or tackling large-scale multi-residential projects, Mike's precision shines through in every endeavor. His work ethic and high standards have earned him a reputation as a reliable and sought-after professional in his field.

Family Life: Mike is not only a master of his trade but also a loving and dedicated father to his daughter, Rebel. He proudly refers to himself as a "girl dad" and is deeply involved in his daughter's life. Whether it's playing with dolls, hosting dance parties in the living room, or simply spending quality time with her at the park, Mike cherishes the bond he shares with her. He is an excellent role model, teaching her the value of hard work, respect, and determination.

Hobbies and Interests: Outside of his professional and family life, Mike enjoys having a green thumb, and spends lots of time in the garden with his daughter. He has a passion for cars, and you can catch him at any local car show. Additionally, he's an avid outdoor enthusiast who enjoys hiking, camping, and fishing.
